Due to Possible Bad Weather, High School Football Games Being Moved to Thursday

With possible severe weather hitting Acadiana on Friday, several high school football teams are moving up their games to Thursday night.

High school football will be starting a day early this week in Acadiana.

Due to possible severe weather expected to roll through the area on Friday, several high school football games are being moved up to Thursday night. A handful of schools made the decision to reschedule their Friday night matchups as early as Tuesday. A few others made the final decision on Wednesday morning.

Here is a look at the newly revamped high school football schedule for teams broadcast across Delta Media stations.

St. Thomas More vs Northside (Home game)

Day & Time: Thursday, Pregame at 6:30, Kickoff 7 p.m. 

Station: 103.7 The Game

 

Carencro at Abbeville

Day & Time: Thursday, Pregame at 6:45, Kickoff 7 p.m.

Station: Z105.9

 

Centerville at Vermilion Catholic

Day & Time: Thursday, Pregame at 6:45, Kickoff 7 p.m.

Station: 106.3 Radio Lafayette

 

*Lafayette High at Southside High

Day & Time: Thursday, Pregame at 6:45, Kickoff 7 p.m.

Stations: The Rewind 97.7 FM (Lions Broadcast) & Mustang 107.1 (Sharks Broadcast)

*Game was originally scheduled as a Thursday night matchup.

In addition, other high school football games that have been reported on having been moved from Friday to Thursday night are as follows: Beau Chene at Breaux Bridge, Opelousas High at Cecilia, Lafayette Christian Academy at Port Barre, Loreauville at West St. Mary, and Catholic High of New Iberia at Houma Christian.
