Weight loss is big business in the US. There’s a myriad of products available. Some claim to offer miraculous, often hard to believe results. Some are downright dangerous. Remember the ephedra products? They caused serious cardiac problems in thousands of people, myself included.
The FDA warns of a product that’spotentially fatal. Nuez de la India seeds are being sold at Walmart, Amazon & Ebay. They’re also being sold as “Candlenut.” The product is being recalled because it contains Thevetia peruviana, more simply known as Yellow Oleander. Every part of the Yellow Oleander plant is toxic to animals and humans. Ingesting it causes nausea, dizziness, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and cardiac changes. It can also be fatal. If you’ve been using Nuez de la India seeds, the FDA recommends you stop immediately.
