UPDATED: The LHSAA Baseball Tournament has been postponed until further notice, this includes all games that were scheduled today. The National Weather Service has stated that there is a high probability of more severe weather tonight with an 80 percent chance of heavy rain and lightning.
They have also stated that the forecast for tomorrow is a 90% chance of rain (up to 4 inches) with lightning, which has prompted sandbag stations around the city.
The LHSAA will release a statement on the future of the baseball tournament before 7 pm tonight.
The #2 seed St. Thomas More baseball team will be playing in the State Semi-finals on Thursday May 9th against #6 seed St. Charles Catholic. Mustang 107.1 will be carrying live play by play coverage of STM when they take on St. Charles Catholic.
First pitch in the State Semi-final game is scheduled for 7 pm on Thursday, and coverage on Mustang 107.1 will begin at 6:40 pm.
If the Cougars win on Thursday, they will move on to the State Championship Game slated to be played on Saturday. Their opponent would be either University Lab or Parkview Baptist.
Mustang 107.1 will also carry live coverage of STM in the State Finals if the Cougars make it to the championship game. Start time for the State Championship is currently scheduled for noon on Saturday.
