Let’s hop in our metaphorical time machine and take a trip down memory lane.

On June 6, 1943 Joe Stampley was born in Springhill, Louisiana. Springhill is located in north Louisiana inside Webster Parish. Stampley is perhaps best known for his 1973 #1 hit ‘Soul Dog’. The Louisiana artist also reached #1 on the charts in 1975 with his hit ‘Roll on Big Mama’.


On June 6, 2006 Rascal Flatts sat a top the Country Album charts with their album ‘Me and My Gang’. The album would go on to reach double platinum status in the first month of its release. The number of total copies sold of the album is around 5 million. Singles from this album include: ‘What Hurts the Most’, ‘My Wish’, ‘Life is a Highway’, and ‘Stand’.


On June 6, 2012 the CMT Music Awards were held. Top winners from the night included: Video of the Year – “Good Girl” to Carrie Underwood, Male Video of the Year – “I Don’t Want This Night to End” to Luke Bryan, Female Video of the Year – “Over You” to Miranda Lambert, Group Video of the Year – “We Owned the Night” to Lady Antebellum, Duo Video of the Year – “I Got You” to Thompson Square, USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year – “The Trouble with Girls” to Scotty McCreery and Collaborative Video of the Year went to “Remind Me”, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
