Let’s hop in our metaphorical time machine and take a trip down memory lane.

On May 15th, 1942 K.T. Oslin was born in Crossett, Arkansas.  Oslin is known for numerous Top 10 hits during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.  She had four singles top the charts, including her hit from 1990 ‘Come Next Monday’.

On this day in 2003 June Carter Cash passed away in Nashville, Tennessee after complications following heart valve replacement surgery.  The second wife of Johnny Cash was 73 years old. Throughout her music career, she featured on hits with Johnny Cash; such as: ‘Jackson’, ‘Ring of Fire’, and ‘If I were a Carpenter’.

On May 15th, 2007 the 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards were held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The ceremony was hosted by Reba McEntire.  Top winners from the night included: Carrie Underwood as Top Female Vocalist, Brooks & Dunn as Top Vocal Duo, Rascal Flatts as Top Vocal Group, Brad Paisley as Top Male Vocalist, and Album of the Year went to Carrie Underwood for ‘Some Hearts’.
