Morgan Wallen’s Abrupt ‘SNL’ Exit Sparks Social Media Uproar Morgan Wallen’s Abrupt ‘SNL’ Exit Sparks Social Media Uproar

Country singer Morgan Wallen, aged 31, ignited controversy following his unexpected departure from the “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) stage during the closing moments of the March 29 episode. Serving as the musical guest alongside host Mikey Madison, Wallen performed two tracks from his forthcoming album, I’m the Problem. However, as Madison delivered her closing remarks, Wallen whispered something to her, offered a brief hug, and exited the stage ahead of the customary group farewell. He later posted an image of a private jet on Instagram with the caption, “Get me to God’s country.”

This departure from SNL tradition drew swift criticism on social media platforms. Fans labeled his actions as “petty” and “disrespectful,” questioning his professionalism. Some viewers noted that Wallen appeared “sour” during the show, describing his performances as “angry and weird.”

A source close to Wallen clarified that his exit mirrored his rehearsed movements throughout the week, suggesting no intentional slight. This incident adds to Wallen’s history of controversies, including a 2020 disinvitation from SNL for violating COVID-19 protocols and a 2021 scandal involving the use of a racial slur.

As Wallen prepares for the release of I’m the Problem on May 16, this latest episode underscores the ongoing scrutiny surrounding his public appearances.
