5 Ridiculous Excuses For Not Going to the Gym

A recent survey from FemaleFirst asked people what excuses did they make for not going to the gym. While some were the usual “I was too tired” or “I just didn’t have time”, this survey reveled some ridiculous replies …

  1. “I couldn’t go to the gym because my psychic said I was going to get a call from an old flame.”
  2. “I just did an eating contest and I can’t move.”
  3. “I slipped a disc putting on running socks.”
  4. “I couldn’t find a parking space at the gym so I didn’t go in.”
  5. “I was about to go, but my roommate had a coupon for 50% off at Dominos.”

On the other side, a survey by Curves asked people to name the biggest reasons they use to skip the work out:

  1. 63% are afraid they’ll hurt themselves.
  2. 53% don’t think they look good in workout clothes.
  3. 50% think they’ll wear the wrong thing.
  4. 46% say exercising in public gives them anxiety.
  5. 38% are afraid of looking stupid working out in front of other people.
  6. 30% don’t know how to use the equipment.
  7. 24% say they’re not in good enough shape to be at the gym.
