MMM: How much America will spend on food and drinks for the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is a day when Americans gather around the TV to watch two teams go at it for the ultimate prize, to be crowned “World Champions”.  And when it comes to being “World Champions”, Americans will spend more money of food and drinks for the big event!

Nielsen just released the results of a study showing how much we’ll spend on food and drinks for the Super Bowl this year:

BEER: We’ll spend $1.2 Billion on suds!

WINE & LIQUOR: $1.1 Billion just about equally split between the two choices.

CHIPS: $500 Million. Potato chips are still favored over tortilla chips.

DIPS: $52 Million

MEAT SNACKS: $99 Million.

BUFFALO WINGS: $82 Million

CHEESE SNACKS: $71 Million

VEGGIE TRAYS: $13 Million
