According to Much Needed.com, merchants know Valentine’s Day continues to be a big profit holiday for retailers and florist. It is one of the biggest shopping seasons of the year. And the reason is an estimated 54% of American’s participate in the shopping frenzy. How much money will you spend?
Statistics show 11.5% will buy a special gift for the holiday. 15% of women will send flowers to themselves on the holiday and 9% will spend an evening g out dining with friends.
The demographic spending the most money are 25-34 years old who plan to spend over $235. Those in the age group of 35-44 will drop $187 and 18-24-year-olds will fork over $148.
