Here we go again! There is a new report published which lists the most stressed out states in the country and you can just about imagine where Louisiana ranks.

Pexel

It never fails when it comes to the best and worst lists for anything seems as though Louisiana either comes out on top of the list for the worst. Or in some cases the bottom of a list if the rankings are going south.

According to Wallet Hub, the most stressed-out state in the country is Louisiana.

Let’s review the methodology for the annual report. Wallet Hub compared several key factors across all 50 states. The website determines several factors to equate the stress level for each state including family and job stress, medical stress and financial stress.

Reviewing the results of the survey we here in the South are stressed out to the max!

The top stressed out states include

  1. Louisiana
  2. Mississippi
  3. Arkansas
  4. West Virginia
  5. Kentucky

Other states making the top of the stressed-out states include Oklahoma, South Carolina, Arizona, and Alabama.

The states where stress is not an issue include

  • #50- Minnesota
  • #49 – Utah
  • #48 – Massachusetts
  • #47 – North Dakota
  • #46 – South Dakota

Some of the factors hurting Louisiana were scoring in the top 5 states with the highest poverty level. Plus Louisiana also had poor scores with the states with the lowest credit scores and had a high divorce rate and high crime rate per capita.

You can see the entire list here.
