On May 20th, 1983 the Country Album chart was topped by The Oak Ridge Boys album ‘Deliver’. The album was the 10th released by the group in their career. Two hit singles featured on the album: ‘Ozark Mountain Jubilee’ and ‘I Guess It Never Hurts to Hurt Sometimes’. The latter of those two hits reached #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
By May 20th, 2000 Faith Hill found herself on top of the Billboard country chart with her hit single ‘The Way You Love Me’. This started a four week run at #1 for the song. It was also Hill’s second #1 single from her album ‘Breathe’, and was her 8th #1 single overall.
On May 20th, 2011 ‘A Little Bit Stronger’ from Sara Evans was at #1 on the Country chart. The song was the lead-off single from her album ‘Stronger’. The song was also released as the second single from the movie soundtrack album for ‘Country Strong’.
