Downtown Alive! (DTA!) has long been a family-friendly event and local favorite event for the last 33 years. In that time, DTA! has brought in some of the best bands to Acadiana and made improvements to offer a full bar, more beer options, add recycling and reusable cups, VIP tents, but one part of DTA! hasn’t yet gotten the VIP treatment – bathrooms!
Ladies and gentlemen, say goodbye to port-o-lets and hello to luxurious, roomy and clean restroom facilities at Downtown Alive! for all Parc Sans Souci dates. These bathrooms will help every DTA! guest Potty Like a Rockstar complete with real sinks for handwashing and an attendant for the length of the event to make sure everything is in tip-top shape.
“In the last few years, we’ve gotten bigger bands and have made many other improvements to our event, but one thing remained the same – our bathrooms. As the first weekly free music series, we like to think we set the bar and we’re raising it yet again by upping our bathroom game with the terrific bathroom facilities from Potty Girl, a local company, that we are excited to work with on this important improvement for DTA! fans of all ages. We’ve always been a family-friendly event, but if you’ve ever tried to take a toddler to a port-o-let, it’s not always family-friendly but now parents will hopefully spend more family time at DTA!” said Kate Durio, Downtown Alive!.
