Lots of families in the Hurricane Ida Disaster area are still rebuilding. It will be a long road to recovery. There is free legal help available to families who qualify. Walter McClatchey joined Tanya Ardoin to talk about the services that Acadiana Legal Services offers

The Acadiana Legal Service Corporation received a grant from the Greater New Orleans Foundation. This money will help provide disaster related legal services to low-income residents living in Iberia, St. Martin, and St. Mary Parishes. Acadiana Legal Service Corporation will be able to help hurricane survivors with insurance claims, applications for benefits, replace legal documents, handle fraudulent contractors, fight evictions, unemployment, deal with FEMA appeals and other legal issues that resulted because of Hurricane IDA.
