It’s been a crazy year for all of us. COVID-19 has forced the cancellation of parties, concerts, and more. Most of us have spent the year in quarantine trying to get things done. The same goes for John Schneider.
The pandemic hit in March, right before Bo’s Extravaganza, John Schneider huge celebrity-filled birthday bash that takes place every year in April. This party was going to be extra special. He had plans to shoot scenes for the movie, Stand On It, during the festival.
Bo’s Extravaganza eventually happened in July and was still a big deal. He had a healthy crowd of people, live music that included one-half of the Bellamy Brothers, and of course, the usual daring car stunts and explosions.
John and his wife Alicia Allain managed to complete the movie project during the quarantine. The movie, Stand On It, is now available. It is a tribute to Burt Reynolds’ 1977 classic, Smokey, and the Bandit.
According to John Schneider, if you enjoyed watching “Smokey and the Bandit,” you will love Stand on It. John is a huge fan of Burt and he especially loves Smokey and the Bandit. He says he has seen the movie more than 50 times.

John Schneider is preparing for his next birthday celebration in April. He is in the process of adding a locomotive caboose to his movie studios in Livingston Parish and it is a huge undertaking. The caboose weighs several tons. As soon as it arrives, John and his team will turn it into a place for visitors to stay.
