Local Photographer Offers an Elegant-type of Photography

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. With Mardi Gras and the Super Bowl just around the corner, Valentine’s Day gets lost in the midst of everything. But how important is Valentine’s Day? And what is the best way to celebrate? Studies show that couples who take time to show each other appreciation and do the little corny romantic stuff, seem to last longer. So celebrating this commercialized day of romance probably has some importance. But beyond candy and flowers, what do you get for your significant other for Valentine’s Day? Local photographer, April Courville, of A. Dannette Photography, has a few ideas. She has a different take on photo-taking. She likes to capture a more intimate side of an individual and celebrate it.

A. Dannette Photography, a local boudoir studio, is pleased to announce Valentine’s Day Boudoir Minis, a marathon day of photography filled with special photo sessions, and pricing. The boudoir minis will be held on January 26, 2019, with the 30-minute time slots beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Boudoir photography has gained popularity in recent years as women want to be captured in front of the camera in an elegant, intimate and body-positive light. Most women will do a photoshoot in lingerie but some choose other options, such as a pair of jeans, a skirt or even a partner’s button-up shirt.

The January 26 event is meant to be a fun, playful boudoir photo shoot for those looking to give a gift to a partner for Valentine’s Day or to celebrate with girlfriends for the ever-growing “Galentine’s Day”. The special includes a 30-minute photography session, professional makeup application, a retouched 8×10 print with a corresponding web file and additional discounts on keepsake collections.
