Source: WalletHub

WalletHub recently released it’s research on the safest states in the country. The study not only looked at crime, but took into consideration things like natural disasters, the ratio of law enforcement to citizens, car accidents, disease rates, work injuries and unemployment.

Vermont was listed as the safest state while Mississippi was the most dangerous. Louisiana came in 7th most dangerous (or 45 on the safest if you look down the whole list)  ** District of Columbia was included on the list.
