The Southeastern Conference released the 2023-2024 edition of the women’s basketball conference schedule on Wednesday.
Kim Mulkey and the defending national champion LSU women’s basketball team will begin conference play on January 4th hoping to finally break through and capture an SEC Championship.
LSU opens its SEC slate at home against Missouri (Jan 4) before traveling to Ole Miss (Jan 7). LSU will then return to the PMAC to host Texas A&M (Jan 11). Shortly after, the Tigers will spend time in Alabama playing Auburn (Jan 14) and Alabama (Jan 18) before hosting Arkansas (Jan 21).
Then, the matchup of the season in women’s college basketball will take place when LSU hosts South Carolina at the PMAC (Jan 25). This battle of the last two national champions set a viewership benchmark of 1.47 million people last Super Bowl Sunday. It was the most viewed women’s basketball regular season game in over 10 years.
Mulkey’s team will head to Mississippi State (Jan 28) and then play Florida in Baton Rouge (Feb 4). Following that, the Tigers will head to Nashville for the second straight season to play Vanderbilt (Feb 8) before three straight SEC West matchups, starting with Alabama at home (Feb 11), Texas A&M on the road (Feb 19) and Auburn in the PMAC (Feb 22). LSU will then embark on its final road trip against Tennessee (Feb 25) and Georgia (Feb 29) before hosting Kentucky (Mar 3) in its final regular season game of the season.
