The Bon Temps Grill is located on Verot School Road. It is a little building with brick-red wood siding. I see this little restaurant every day. I have been wanting to try the food in this place forever. And especially after my daughter and her boyfriend both told me the food is really good. So finally last week, I stopped by for a late lunch.
The Bon Temps Grill offers a menu of Louisiana-themed dishes with plenty of seafood options and tasso. For a starter, we tried the crab cake. The crab cake was flaky and crispy served with two different sauces. We also ordered the Bon Temps Barbecue burger and the Blackened Chicken with Penne Pasta. The burger was layered with sauce and huge fried onions rings. The pasta has a creamy tomato sauce.
I had initially planned to order a dessert but that will have to happen next time because I was stuffed.
The food arrived fast. The servers were friendly and talkative. Our server knew the menu well. She was eager to explain each dish. This was our first time so it took us a while to decide what to order. Overall, it was good experience.
