Steve Riley is a Cajun musician from Mamou, Louisiana.  He plays the accordion, the violin and sings in French.  Riley was a seven year kid when first showed interest in playing the accordion and before long he was extremely talented in playing traditional Cajun songs.   Steve Riley was a teenager when he was invited to tour with his mentor and legendary musician, Dewey Balfa.  While on the road, Dewey Balfa taught Riley about Cajun culture and about the music industry.  In the 1988, Steve Riley and David Greely formed Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, a band that continues to pack festivals and dance halls.
