Register now to compete in the SugarMan Triathlon and Duathlon in October. This race is open to anyone ready for a challenge. Even if you are new to racing, you can do it. You will feel accomplished after you cross the finish line. Bring your family and friends to cheer you on, there is plenty of room for spectators.

The SugarMan Triathlon is an all-road sprint, 500-meter swim, 15-mile bike ride, and 3.1 miles run through Sugar Mill Pond. The Duathlon portion is a 2.7 mile run through the Sugar Mill Pond neighborhood, a 15-mile bike ride, and then finishes with a 3.1-mile run. Sign up Now! Click here.

Prizes will be awarded for the top finishers and SWAG given to all participants. SWAG includes unique prizes, a meal from Romacelli’s and Cafe 20.3, plus beverages from Community Coffee, Smoothie King, Powerade, and Schilling Distributing.

Participating in this event supports the nonprofit group TRAIL. TRAIL’s mission is to build recreational facilities such as bike lanes, bike paths, paddle trails, hiking trails, maps, and benches. TRAIL works alongside government agencies. TRAIL purchased property to add to Acadiana Park and Nature Station, added a nature trail to Chicot State Park, donated to Lafayette Central Park, and worked with the TECHE Project. TRAIL is planning on doing more for Louisiana.

Donate to TRAIL or help by volunteering! Volunteers are needed to help with upcoming events. Volunteers receive free food, drinks, and a shirt. Find out more, visit latrail.org.
