The Service Chevrolet Cadillac Top Cop of the Week is Lt. Francis Bergeron III of the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office. Lt. Bergeron grew up around cops because his dad also had a career in law enforcement. So for him, it made sense to become a cop. Lt. Bergeron has worked for APSO for 12 years.
Lt. Bergeron started his career as a bailor in jail. He worked his way up the law enforcement ladder, becoming an Assistant Warden, then eventually a patrol officer, and later to Lt. of warrants and bonds within the Sheriff’s office. According to his nomination, Lt. Bergeron is a dedicated public servant and dedicated husband and father. He is married to his high school sweetheart.
