The Service Chevrolet Cadillac Top Cop of the Week is Lieutenant James Hodges of the Duson Police Department. His venture into law enforcement was unexpected. Years ago, he was living in Las Vegas and looking for a job. At the time, he was a trained sound engineer but could not find work in that profession. So he decided to apply with the local police department and it turned out to be a good fit. He is passionate about helping the community and enjoys every minute of it.
According to his nomination for Top Cop of the Week, Lieutenant Hodges is not only a great cop to the community but also to his fellow coworkers. He is always available to pick up another cop’s shift if needed. He has endured many nights on a cot in the police station during major weather events. Lt. Hodges goes above and beyond to be a better police officer.
