We’re in the grip of an unprecedented weather event in Acadiana. When the all clear to get on the road comes, you’ll probably need supplies. You may need groceries, or just want to goout to eat out and relieve cabin fever. Many businesses have been closed during this situation. Something to keep in mind when they reopen, chains can more easily survive the loss of a few day’s business than locals can.
There are many excellent, locally owned restaurants, grocery stores and other businesses. The people who staff, manage and own these businesses are part of our community. Please patronize them. Your money will stay in Acadiana as opposed to being sent off to a far away corporate headquarters. The strength of Acadiana is its people. That means you.
