With their song “Sharp Dressed Man” serving as the theme song to the popular reality show Duck Dynasty, ZZ Top continues to garner critical acclaim while enjoying mainstream success. Known for their gritty blues-tinged Southern rock and roll, their stylish and humorous music videos, and, most of all, their iconic chest-length beards, they’ve sold over 25 million albums worldwide.

Hailing from Texas, ZZ Top quickly established themselves as the bad-boy outlaws of rock with a wicked sense of humor upon the release of their single “Tush” in 1973. But it wasn’t until the advent of MTV in the 1980s that ZZ Top became international superstars. To promote their album Eliminator, the band released a trio of incredibly successful videos (for the songs “Gimme All Your Lovin’”, ”Sharp Dressed Man,” and” Legs”) that showcased their signature sound, as well as the iconic red car that would inspire the production of the PT Cruiser. Eliminator is ZZ Top’s most successful album to date, selling over 10 million copies. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. The band still tours regularly, delivering captivating, no-frills concerts for fans who score tickets, though guitarist Billy Gibbons and bassist Dusty Hill do sometimes break out the fur-lined guitars they made famous.
