Growing up as an ‘Army Brat’ (Military Kid) I spent a good part of my childhood growing up on military bases. In some instances playing ‘Army’ with friends in abandoned anti-aircraft bunkers or riding my bike on abandoned air strips and helicopter landing zones. Never realizing the history of some of these places and what they were used for.
