Casinos in Nevada made Billions in profit in 2016 – and most profits are from slot machines
Just how much money are we throwing away on gambling? The Nevada Gaming Control Board just released its 2016 numbers, and all the casinos in the state managed to make $11.3 BILLION in profit last year. That’s up 1.3% from 2015.
The biggest money makers are the slot machines earning casinos $7.2 Billion. Slot machines that cost at least five cents per spin brought in $4.2 Billion and Penny Slots brought in $3 Billion.
The rest of the options include Baccarat, Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Sportsbooks and Poker … combined brought in $3.4 Billion in profits
And other miscellaneous table games and games like bingo and keno made the other $728 million in profit.
