Bonnie Brown Ring, a member of the famed Country group, The Browns, has passed away. Bonnie Brown Ring was 77. She died from complications of lung cancer at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Bonnie joined the Browns after she finished high school. Bonnie, her brother James Edward and sister Maxine became best known for the Grammy nominated hit, “The Three Bells.” In 1963, the trio were invited to be members of the Grand Ole Opry. Bonnie and her sister eventually left the music industry to spend time more time with their families at home. Jim Ed continued his singing career and every now and then his sisters would join him for various performances.
Bonnie Brown is survived by two daughters, Kelly (Ed) Bulleit, and Robin (Rob) Shaver, Kelly’s children, Clark, Kendall, and Raleigh, as well as Robin’s offspring, Skylar and Stone, and of course, by her sister, Maxine.
