The City of Carencro has announced the cancelation of the Carencro Country Christmas originally planned for this Saturday. Organizers are forced to cancel because of COVID-19 restrictions that require a 25 percent occupancy limit. The event will not be able to accommodate the vendors and attendees with this limit in place. The Carencro Business Association is looking forward to hosting the event next year.
The Carencro Country Christmas is coming up Saturday, December 5, 2020, at the Carencro Community Center from 9 am to 3 pm. The center is located at 5115 North University Avenue. No admission to attend. This is a free family event. There will be food vendors, plus arts and crafts. A traditional Christmas scene will be set up for photos.
If you have any winter clothing clothing that you do not use anymore, bring it with to this event. Donations of hoodies, coats, hats, gloves, and scarves will be collected for the less the fortunate.
There is still time to sign up for Carencro Catholic School’s Crusader Jingle 5k Run. The race starts promptly at 8 am. Register now at crusadersjinglerun.itsyourrace.com
