Local country singer Steven John Simon and his guitarist Jasin Muffoletto stopped by Mustang 107.1 to play a few country songs.
Steven John Simon is a country singer from Crowley, Louisiana. It’s been about a year since he decided to pursue music on a professional level and so far, things are going well. He is recording music in Nashville and working with songwriters who have also worked with Kane Brown. He and local guitarist Jasin Muffoletto are performing at venues all over Louisiana. Steven John Simon says his daughter is the person who inspired him to take the leap into the music industry.
Singing has always been a hobby for him. Since he was a kid, he has always been interested in singing, but he never considered a career in music. After high school, he joined the Marines and spent five years traveling all over the world. He lived in places like Singapore and West Africa. After he got out of the military, he entered the oil field and has been doing that ever since. Most recently, his teenager has expressed a strong desire to be a musician. He says she is quite talented. So he decided it would be a fun bonding experience to try-out for The Voice together. Unfortunately, they did not make on the show. Simon decided to share his audition video for The Voice on social media. The video went viral. He was then contacted by an agent in Nashville and offered a recording contract.
