The weather forecast predicts heavy rain all day on Friday. The rain should ease up by Saturday afternoon and be clear and dry throughout the entire day on Sunday.
For this reason, the folks from Downtown Alive have decided to go ahead and cancel tomorrow night’s outdoor concert. With the chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms, it’s better to stay home cozy and warm than drive through the storm. Sometimes when rain is in the forecast, the concert is moved to an indoor location but not this time. The show featuring the Daiquiri Queens and Haggard Buck will be completely canceled and not moved to Rock N Roll.
According to DTA’s announcement, these two bands will be rescheduled to the spring session. The Lafayette Science Museum has also canceled Friday’s Bach Lunch concert.
The show will go on next week with Wayne Toups and Zydecajun at Parc International.
