The Lafayette Recreation and Parks Department has set the registration period for Fall Youth sports. Registration throughout the Parish will start on Saturday, August 6 and continue through Monday, August 22.
Fall youth sports offered by LRPD include Tackle Football for ages 9 to 13, Flag Football for ages 7 to 16, Volleyball for ages 7 to 17, Fall Fast Pitch Softball for ages 8 to 15 and Fall Baseball for ages 8 to 13. Proof of age and residency are required for registration.
Registration will take place through each of the seven volunteer Youth Associations in the Parish. The Associations are: BPA (Brown Park Athletics), BYYA (Broussard/Youngsville Youth Association), CSA (Cajun Sports Association), CAYSI (Carencro Area Youth Sports, Inc.), SATS (Scott Area Team Sports), SLYSI (Southwest Lafayette Youth Sports, Inc.), and SWA (SouthWest Athletics).
