With the fall season beginning in South Louisiana, in comes the first cold front of the year.
With rain in the forecast for much of Thursday, the front will bring temperatures into the lower 70s for highs and upper 40s for lows.
It will also bring drier air to our area. Considering how little rain we’ve gotten over the last few months, drier air will only increase the chances of a fire starting.
Please continue to adhere to the state’s burn ban. Believe me, cooler weather makes you want to start a fire and hang out with friends, or maybe tailgate at a football game. Whatever your plans are for what’s supposed to be a beautiful weekend, do it responsibly, and don’t put yourself or others at risk.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the weather, Acadiana!
