Lundi Love: CHOPSTICKS: Fresh Asian Cuisine
This week on Lundi Love, we are showing a little love to locally-owned restaurant Chopsticks.
I first noticed this place a few weeks ago. The Chopsticks Restaurant is located in a shopping center off of Ambassador Caffery near Whole Foods. You cannot miss it. The sign is so huge. It definitely caught my eye, especially the “Fresh Asian Cuisine” part. But of course, I kept driving, thinking, “that place looks expensive and I’m underdressed.”
Then the other evening, my neighbor stopped by the house. He wanted to tell us about his new job. He is now working at a place called, “Chopsticks.” And he invited us to stop by and have dinner. So we got dressed and headed out.
Chopsticks is not a corporation. It is a local restaurant using locally sourced ingredients. The head chef was born and raised in China. The food is fresh tasting and full of flavor. The dishes are huge and meant to be shared. With your order, you get a big bowl of white rice and extra plates. And the entrees are not over-priced. For an appetizer, we tried the dumplings in the spicy red oil. It had sesame seeds and green onions. Then for my main meal, I ordered the Garlic Shrimp. My dish was loaded with large plump shrimp in a sweet and savory sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant.
As soon as you walk in, you see bamboo shoots and wooden horse statues plus smiley friendly faces. The menu is available online with the prices. CHOPSTICKS: Fresh Asian Cuisine
