This week Mustang 1071 is showing some love to Sugar Momma’s Secret Confections in Lafayette. It’s homemade ice cream with Louisiana flavor.
Tiffany Steward was looking for something fun to do. She needed a stress reliever and a new hobby. Her husband had a hobby. He played music in the garage with his friends. And from time to time, his garage band had a show that brought in some money. She also wanted something fun to do in her spare time. So what better way to relax and relieve stress than with a huge scoop of sweet creamy ice cream?
Tiffany started to make homemade ice cream, for fun, at first. Tiffany got creative with the ingredients adding fig preserves and using Steens syrup. Before long, this whole ice cream making venture turned out to be more than just a hobby. She started to sell her unique concoctions. Tiffany, aka Sugar Momma, has a standard Sweet Cream Vanilla, Slow Simmah Strawberry and Cin-full Chocolate. She simmers the strawberries for hours, the chocolate has a spicy kick and her carrot ice cream tastes like carrot cake. Tiffany will not tell anyone her recipe. Not even her husband knows what goes on in the kitchen when it’s time to make ice cream. Tiffany says she adds lots and lots love.
Now if you are wondering, how to catch up with the Sugar Momma and Secret Confections. You can connect with her on Facebook. She will deliver. And from time to time, Sugar Momma will set up at a festival. She sold her ice cream at the recent Sno Cone Festival in Downtown Lafayette. She completely sold out of ice cream.
We love a delicious scoop of ice cream, especially one with that homemade taste. For this reason, we are showing some love on a Monday to Sugar Momma’s Secret Confections.
