Louisiana Baseball head coach Tony Robichaux underwent a second surgery at Oschner Health Center and is currently in critical condition under the watchful eye of the Intensive Care Unit.
“Coach Robichaux has received additional medical attention as a result of the incident suffered last Sunday.” Louisiana Director of Athletics Dr. Bryan Maggard said in a statement released by the university, “The Robichaux family asks specifically for prayer during this time.”
Robichaux recently completed his 25th season at Louisiana in 2019, with a big highlight being his 900th career win with the program. The leader of the Ragin’ Cajuns has compiled a career record of 1,177-767 (.605) during his 31 years as a head coach.
The Robichaux family thanks the many individuals, both locally in Lafayette and across the country, who have shared their prayers, support, and well wishes for Coach Robichaux.
