The Service Chevrolet Cadillac Top Cop of the Week is Deputy Michael Menard of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff Office. He is the school resource officer at Woodvale Elementary. He said lots of his family works in law enforcement so it made sense for him to become a cop. It was something he always wanted to do.
According to the person who nominated him, Deputy Menard is great at building relationships with the students and the staff. He takes pride in protecting the campus and enjoys visiting with the students. He is always ready to lend a helping hand.
