The Service Chevrolet Cadillac Top Cop of the Week is Staff Sergeant Cormier of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office. He has been working as a law officer for 16 years. Before becoming a cop, he was set to attend welding school. Then a hometown cop took him on a ride-along and during the ride, a high-speed chase took place. He then realized that he wanted to be a member of law enforcement.
According to his nomination, Staff Sgt. Cormier is passionate and dedicated to his profession. He is always trying to get better through learning and training. He recently was honored with the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award.
