Finally, Chicot State Park will reopen to visitors. The park was previously closed during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana Office of State Parks announced in a press release the park will be open to the public on June 26. The campground and cabins are available for reservations now. The day-use areas such as the boat launch, fishing piers, pavilions, picnic sites, and playground will reopen June 26.
The park will be offering a special discount to anyone interested in reserving a 4-night stay. To take advantage of this discount, use the promo code WELCOMEBACK. The promo will be available until September 7, 2020.
Chicot State Park is a beautiful place to spend a weekend. The park is full of wildlife. Don’t be surprised if you run into a giant alligator while fishing. Hiking and biking trails weave throughout the park. There is something for everyone.
