Frank Foster is a Louisiana-born country singer. He grew up close to the Arkansas border. As a kid, he did what most kids growing up in rural Louisiana do, he spent his time outside riding ATVs and fishing in ponds. He also helped his dad work the land. When he was younger, he did not aspire to be a musician. He had no idea what career path he wanted to take. He knew only one thing: he wanted something more than his small hometown had to offer.
Frank Foster played basketball in high school and was actually quite good. His talents took him all the way to the east coast. He attended college on a basketball scholarship. While going to school, he met his wife and started playing music.
In the early stage of his music career, he did not make enough money to pay his bills so got a second job. He went to work in the oil field. Eventually after getting support from fellow roughnecks, Frank Foster decided to pursue music full-time in Nashville. He traveled, wrote songs, and played music at any venue that let him take the stage. He developed a solid fan base known as Foster Nation.
And now Frank Foster is on Mustang all weekend long! It’s a Frank Foster weekend on Mustang 1071
