In The Kitchen – Fruity Cole Slaw

ribeye bites

In the Kitchen!

Still can’t figure out what to cook for supper tonight? Here’s an idea! Ribeye Bites.  Find these delicious tasty Ribeye Bites in the Meat Section of Heleaux’s Grocery.  They are well seasoned cuts of ribeye wrapped in bacon.  I have heard these bites are delicious cooked on a BBQ pit but I am a minimalist.  I put these delectable bites on a tray and popped in it in the oven.  And to balance the spicy flavor on the side, I serve up a fruity coleslaw.  Check out Heleaux’s Grocery and Specialty Meats located on Verot School Road a block south of Ambassador Caffery.  It’s a small clean old-fashioned butcher shop. Find everything you need and save time.  You will be in, out and finally home to your family before you know it.  I have been shopping here for years and the employees looks truly happy to work in this little shop.  See for yourself! Heleaux’s Grocery and Specialty Meats on Verot School Road. Be sure to listen to “In the Kitchen” with Heleaux’s Grocery and Specialty Meats during More Music Mornings on Mustang 107.1 FM every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:45 am.

Here’s my Fruity Cole Slaw Recipe:

Bag of Shredded Cabbage Mix (or head of Cabbage-chopped up)

1 cup of Mayo

1/4 cup of sugar

1 Tablespoon of Vinegar (I prefer Apple Cider Vinegar)

1 cup of raisins

1 apple – peeled and chopped

Mix ingredients and viola! The best cole slaw recipe ever.
