Kristen Foreman is a local country singer. She grew up just outside of Lafayette, Louisiana in place called Carencro. Growing up in a place like Acadiana, music is everywhere. Festivals, dance halls and back yard barbecues. There is always someone with a violin, accordion or guitar ready to jam. Foreman discovered her own talent when her sister pointed it out. Her parents had just bought a karaoke machine. Foreman and her sister were taking turns singing when Kristen’s sister remarked that Kristen could “really sing.” From then on Foreman started to slowly pursue a career music. In between taking classes, she performed acoustic sets at clubs and bars in Lafayette and Baton Rouge. She has even teamed up with other local country artists and to record videos of country cover songs for social media. Now, she is a college graduate and full-time musician with a new song on the radio. The song is called, “Four and half Minutes.” It is about a girl who meets a guy that she is interested in and then the girl asks the guy to dance. Kristen admitted that the song is about an actual event that happened between herself and a mystery man.
